According to the information provided by the Fuzhou Committee of Chinese Communist Youth League on April 9, the 3rd Digital China Summit finished its virtual interviews of volunteers recently, and selected a total of 592 volunteers. They’ll receive general training online this week.
In early March, the Fuzhou Committee of Chinese Communist Youth League launched its first ever “virtual interview” of volunteers. As a head of the Committee explained, “896 candidates out of 5,461 entries from nine universities and colleges based in Fuzhou were first selected through review of information and written exam. A total of 592 volunteers were then selected through the ‘virtual interview’. In addition, 20 teachers and 30 etiquette volunteers of Fuzhou Airlines will join the volunteer team.”
General training will be launched online this week. The first session will be presented by Professor Zhang Xiaohong, a national volunteering expert, on the “Origin and Future of Volunteering Services”. Based on key aspects and challenges of volunteering, the Committee will invite more established experts in the volunteering services nationwide to present training sessions to volunteers live online.
