On December 24, a promotion conference for exhibition participation and investment cooperation for the 9th Digital China Summit was held in Shenzhen, extending a sincere invitation to enterprises in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) with utmost enthusiasm, favorable policies, and optimal services. Representatives from government departments, leading enterprises, and industry associations gathered for this digital feast to explore new development opportunities.

A relevant official from the Fuzhou Data Administration noted that as early as 2000, Xi Jinping, then Governor of Fujian Province, made the important strategic decision to build “Digital Fujian” with the vision of seizing the commanding heights of informatization. Over the past two decades, Fuzhou has kept this mission firmly in mind, advancing Digital Fuzhou as a foundational and pioneering project for high-quality development, actively integrating into the national initiatives for innovative development of the digital economy and the comprehensive pilot program for building Digital China, and concentrating efforts on fostering the digital economy. According to the official, the scale of Fuzhou’s digital economy expanded from 280 billion yuan in 2018 to over 790 billion yuan in 2024, while its share of GDP rose from 36 percent to more than 55 percent. The digital economy has become a key driving force for Fuzhou’s high-quality economic and social development.

As an integral part of the Digital China Summit, the On-site Interactive Area has attracted enterprises and institutions from national ministries and commissions, as well as from provinces across the country, to showcase their achievements. A representative from the exhibition team of the Fuzhou Preparatory Task Force for the Digital China Summit stated that the On-site Interactive Area of the 9th Digital China Summit is scheduled to be held in late April next year, with a core exhibition area of 56,000 square meters, alongside events such as new technology and new product launch conferences.

The summit extended invitations to digital enterprises rooted in the innovative ecosystem of the GBA, receiving an enthusiastic response with companies actively registering to participate. At the event, representatives from ten outstanding organizations, including China Electronics Corporation, China Southern Power Grid, Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd., and the Shenzhen Data Exchange, took part in the pre-signing ceremony for exhibitors of the On-site Interactive Area of the 9th Digital China Summit.

“The Digital China Summit is a grand event in the digital field and an important platform for showcasing the achievements of digital technology development,” said Zhang Zhicheng, Director of Government and Enterprise Marketing, Huawei China. Having participated in eight editions of the summit, Huawei has fully demonstrated its latest achievements in areas such as digital technologies, digital infrastructure, and the circulation of data elements, helping promote positive interaction and synergy among technology, industry, and various sectors. In 2026, Huawei will further expand its participation and continue to take part in the Digital China Summit at a high standard, joining hands with more partners to contribute to this major annual event.

Wen Zhipeng, from CSG Media Brand Technology (Guangzhou) Co., Ltd., noted that the company has participated in the summit for many consecutive editions and organizes a series of product launches and exchange activities each year, earning wide recognition. He added that the company looks forward to gathering again in Fuzhou in 2026.

As another long-standing participant, H3C Group has reaped substantial benefits from the summit. According to Zhang Wenchun, a solutions expert at H3C Group, the company leverages open innovation to integrate computing power, data, large models, and ecosystem resources, fully unleashing the potential of artificial intelligence (AI) and showcasing its technological strengths to a broader audience through the summit. At the same time, H3C has deepened cooperation and exchanges with upstream and downstream enterprises and institutions, establishing partnerships with more collaborators. In addition, the summit provides timely access to the latest policy directions, industry developments, and technological trends related to Digital China, enabling industry partners to jointly explore the future of digital technologies and keep their finger on the pulse of the sector.

The infinite possibilities of technology must ultimately take root in a solid industrial ecosystem and fertile ground for development. At the event, a representative from the Fuzhou Municipal Investment Promotion Office provided a comprehensive overview of the city’s unique strengths: “Fuzhou is actively integrating into the development of the National Pilot Zone (Fujian) for Innovative Development of Digital Economy and building a new development landscape of next-generation information technology known as the ‘543X’ strategic track system, providing enterprises with ‘fertile policy soil’ and vast industrial space. Focusing on frontier fields such as the digital economy, artificial intelligence, and industrial digitalization, Fuzhou has introduced a series of supportive policies related to the digital economy, forming a full-chain support system that covers basic research, technological breakthroughs, achievement transformation, and ecosystem cultivation. We sincerely welcome entrepreneurs to visit Fuzhou for exchanges, investment, and business development.”
